Surface Breaker is a versatile, multi-purpose product for the plasterer and mould maker, which has been developed to solve the problem of bubble formation. Surface Breaker prevents bubbles from forming when taking plaster casts from silicone moulds and when taking plaster or alginate moulds from casts and sculpts. It is also an effective, low-odour parting/release agent.

Applications & Directions for Use:
Silicone Moulding – When taking plaster casts from silicone moulds, use Surface Breaker to produce a flawless bubble-free finish. Apply a thin layer to the inside of the mould with a brush and allow to dry fully before pouring. There is no need to work the plaster into the mould – just pour and go.
Plaster & Alginate Moulding – When taking plaster or alginate moulds from casts and sculpts, apply a thing layer of Surface Breaker to the cast object or sculpted piece prior to making the mould to eliminate surface bubbles and achieve a smooth finish. Using a brush, apply a thin layer to the object or sculpted piece and then allow to dry fully, before creating your plaster or alginate mould.
Release Agent – Surface Breaker can also be used as a parting/release agent when floating Plastiline sculpts and separating plaster from plaster. Use a clean brush to apply 2-3 coats to the surface of the piece ensuring each coat is touch-dry before applying the next.
