Neill’s Materials T-140 Silicone is a two-component silicone elastomer which is available with two different catalysts.
- A + B = Standard Grade
- A + B OB = Oil-Bleeding Grade
T-140 Silicone crosslinks at room temperature by poly-addition reaction. The polymerisation can be accelerated by heat (max. 150°C).
The silicone components are delivered as two viscous liquids, which once mixed and cured, transform into a transparent, elastic and resistant material. Polymerisation occurs without production of heat.
Why choose the OB (Oil-Bleed grade)?
Oil-Bleed Catalysts are recommended for high-yield moulds on production parts. However these are not recommended if you are producing clear castings, as the Oil-Bleed Catalysts can cause the surface of your clear castings to go cloudy.
Key Benefits
- Accurate reproduction of details
- Very good transparency
- Exceptional mechanical properties
Example of Applications
Reproduction of 3D objects in polyurethane, waxes, foams, epoxy, polyester etc.
